Companion (Artist #461)
This Companion has a beautiful face created by inlayed iron oxide clay contrasting with its stoneware body. (Its cheeks seem unusually plump). Is that a beret or a pompadour on its right side creating a unique silhouette?
Stoneware Companions are unique. Steve and I hand-build each with stoneware clay and add sculpted details using different colored clays and stains. Each Companion seems to have its own personality and speaks to the customer differently.
